About Our Lightning Rod Balls

If the ball you want does not come with caps, don't worry! You can purchase the caps separately, but please note that they will not come pre-glued on.

Ball Specifications:

  • Size: 4.5" wide
  • Cap Size (if selected by customer): 5/8" X 1.25" (Designed for 5/8" rods)
  • Although most customers know this, our balls are sold individually. Select a quantity of one, you receive one ball.

Our lightning rod balls are designed for up to 7/8" thick rods, meaning any rod that is smaller (5/8" or 1/2") will work just fine!

Please take a moment to browse the drop-down menu to select your preferred color and cap combinations. Keep in mind that some combinations may be temporarily out of stock.

Well packed, very nice

Beautiful, fitment issues

The holes on either side of the lightning rod globes aren't consistently sized. I ordered 2 globes. One side of one of the globes will not fit over the rod, even after I removed the copper caps. Beautifully made except for the fitment. Maybe it's the luck of the draw.
