Few folks (incline before learning) understand how different (better) copper is than other metals. Impacts … everything… when it comes to lightning.

I used lighteningrodparts.com in 2012, when I built my house. I just finished an addition, so I needed 12 inch tapered terminal air tips to match the existing construction. Texted customer service and they fixed me right up. Everything worked great, the aluminum stamped T splicer was easy to crimp with pliers, and just what I needed to join the old with the new! I ordered two 18” rods and one is 1/2” shorter than the other. They’ll be used 10-12 ft from each other so I don’t think it will show but they were packaged together so someone saw that and sent it anyway. Additionally there were no set screws with the two star ornaments. Someone had to have seen that and sent them anyway. Additionally, the rod in your ad (above) is tapered to a point. What I received is not tapered to a point.

The adhesive bases were repurposed as an anchor plate at the lower part of the building at the transition between the roof conductor wire and the copper ground wire. I didn’t use adhesive because I already had a solid mount through the plate into the building.
Also, the adhesive plate has a threaded place to anchor a secondary ground wire to the foundation slab if needed in the future.
