How do I find my roof pitch?

  1. Hold a level flat, with one end touching the roof surface or the underside of a rafter.
  2. At the 12 inch mark on the level, measure straight up to the roof. That number is your rise.
  3. No level handy? Lay your phone on the roof or a rafter and read the angle with any free level app.
