Solid aluminum air terminal, 1/2" diameter x 48" length, with a safety-tipped (rounded) point. As a strike termination device, it mounts along a roof ridge, edge, or rooftop projection to intercept a direct lightning strike and route it into the main conductor system (LPI 175 §51–55). This size meets the LPI 175 Table 1 minimum diameter for a Class I air terminal (structures up to 75 ft.). At this length, LPI 175 §55 requires bracing at a point not less than half the terminal’s height above the object protected.
